My Ds is 8mo tomorrow and over the past few weeks has learnt to crawl (forwards, finally!) With the change in mobility, came a change in the way he wants to sleep. He was on his back, then for the last 6 weeks or so on his side, and now he is on his tummy.
I am winding him down the same way, but now when I put him in his cot he flips on to his tummy and starts rocking back and forwards on hands and knees - often bumping the side of the cot with legs/head etc! This has gone on with crying (on and off) for an hour at bedtime the last 2 nights and I am out of ideas to help him settle and get to sleep. The problem is definitely at bedtime, naps not such a problem.
Just when you think you have them sorted out they move the goalposts ....
Any suggestions gratefully accepted and tested!
