Toddler dawdling
« on: January 13, 2007, 20:53:39 pm »
Is suspect I know the answer to my question, but let me ask: do all toddlers dawdle or is it just mine ?

We woke up at 7.30 this morning and managed to:

- nibble on a piece of bread
- brush teeth
- brush hair
- have 2 pees in the potty (and a poo outside  :-\ )
- have a bath
- get dressed

but we didn't manage to leave the house until 10 AM !!  :o

normal!
The only way I can ever get out the door is by saying Thomas the Tank Engine (or little teddy or somebody else) 'really wants to go now' and 'do' whoever it is saying 'Come on Sam. Let's go!' in a little voice.

Ha! I agree with Kate!

Abigail is such a dawdler! I call her "diddle daddler" so much she answers to it now and thinks it is a nickname!

I think toddlers were put on the earth to teach us patience.  I agree, they just can't be hurried.  I guess the world is way too interesting to hurry through things :)
