Cooking with alcohol (eg casserole)??
« on: January 17, 2007, 17:28:54 pm »
hi
I have made a beef stew for me & dh and want to freeze some for dd but wonder about the alcohol in the recipe. It is a big quantity of stew (for 6 adults, using 1kg of beef) and has 2/3 of a bottle of wine. It has been in the oven for 3 hours so I want to know if the alcohol will be cooked off and I can give it to Sophie. Anyone know??????
