My daughter is 16 weeks old (3 1/2 months) and up until now I have simply been winging it. Her sleep patterns were generally ok, and up until recently slept through the night, although was never really much of a daytime sleeper.

After her injections this all went out of the window, and she seemed very overtired in the day, and was waking at night again. I decided I needed to try to use more of a routine and have started to try and use the baby whisperer.

This has worked well for evenings, but the daytimes are a nightmare. I have been struggling with PU/PD to get her to sleep in her cot...the usual problem being that it gets to next feed time before I get her to sleep. Sometimes will go down but then only for 15 minutes. I'm feeling a bit desperate and was wondering if anyone has had any success with trying to establish a daytime napping routine this late on? It's hard because by this point we already have things we have to do in the daytime, which i think is making it more stressful for me. I am beginning to lose resolve...

Also was wondering if when she wakes up and then yawns whether this is an indicator that she is tired, or that she is just coming round from her sleep?

There is another mom I have spoken to in the last day or so that is trying to est an EASY routine with her 4 month old.  I am going to try to get you two together so you can discuss problems and set backs along the way. I think that would be helpful to both of you.
Here is a link to starting EASY after 4 months.  I think it may help.  Also check out the easy forums.  Can you also post your schedule, that may help.
