Actually, today she was an angel and back to her old self, although a wee bit cranky in late afternoon. DH and I decided to tone the whole day down and just make her laugh lots especially in the afternoon. After her late PM catnap, I gave her a bath and kept it real quiet, ie singing softly, whispering and keeping her laughing and smiling as much as I can. I noticed that she didn't flail as much as she normally does especially during that time... By the time it came to feeding, she was nicely relaxed, took a nice 6oz bottle and went to sleep nice and easy.

So have decided to continue on this path if it makes her happy!

Wow sounds like a fantastic day.

You are doing a great job watching her cues.

That's great!  Listen to your baby's cues and things will fall into place.

Thanks for your advice lil'monkey.  I am not ready for her to drop the cat nap.  I walk in the afternoons, so its a perfect time for her to have a sleep in the pram.  I was just trying out the advice of other BW's to see if it made a difference to her nights. 10 days of trying this was enough to see it wasn't working!  I will start working on extending her daytime naps tho.

I didn't think I should introduce a DF but just thought I would ask.  I have come across something very interesting though . . . as an infant, my LO would BURP!!  Big bubbly ones right from the pit of her tummy!  As she has grown, her burps are less of an eruption, more like a gurgle.  I used some Infacol in her bottle last night and she didn't fuss till 1am for a B/F!!

Funny you should mention that.  My DS was the same, as he got older his burbs got softer and softer - I don't even hear them now.

Sounds like the infacol is doing the job.  Keep us posted on how you get on.

Well the last few nights have been a bit of an experiment as to which bottle to use the infacol in.  As it turns out just the last bottle before bed is enough.  She calls out at 7.30 & 8.30 and I pick her up and a BIG BURP comes out.  Don't hear from her until 1am feed.  This is fantastic as I would much rather deal with this before I go to bed rather than falling asleep only to be woken an hour or so later!!

That is fantastic, sounds like things are coming together.

Our DS would do exactly the same when we put him to bed, he would wake up about an hour later needing a burb, and then would go back off to sleep.
