I just spoke to my dd's pediatrician during her 12 month visit and it was suggested that we wait until she is 2, just to be absolutely safe.

Here in the US they generally recommend 1 year, and to wait longer if your lo has any allergies or if there is a family history of allergies.

you can normally find soy butter at the grocery stores too which your LOs can have earlier, assuming they don't have a soy allergy.
