What nappies are best for nightime?
« on: January 29, 2007, 06:56:41 am »
hi my ds is now six months old, 8 kgs, and i have recently started using the huggies no 4 nappies, and despite the advertising for 12hr protection, they arent doing the trick, luca always wakes up around 6am because he has peed through his nappy. I live in italy and we pretty much only have huggies and pampers where we are, so what nappies are the best for night time? Thanks Lynsey

We use the next size up at night too.  DS wears Huggies Ultra Trim Size 4 during the day and Huggies Supreme Size 5 at night.

no, you have to put them up a bit higher on their waist but it works so well.  I had to try a couple different brands before it worked out, but we love the pampers cruisers.  probly will stick with them.

I agree with meltown; pampers cruisers are what works best for our 4 month old at night. (And during the day too!) They seem to go up higher, and the elastic waste seems much more comfortable than other diapers. I don't need to go a size bigger yet, but that's a good idea if things get messy  ;)

I also vote pampers cruisers! they fit different too, my lo is 21 lbs and in a size 4, has been for a couple of months already! The size 4 say 22-28 lbs I think? Ya, right...they do come up a bit high but they fit good and never leak!

I really dont rate huggies, they just dont seem to fit right around the legs.  Ive sworn by pampers for years now, Jake always wore pampers and so did Harvey up until recently, I saw the nappies in Tescos and thought id just see what they were like!! Perfect!! And so much cheaper, I have been using them for a month now and have not had 1 leek, day or night, he goes from 7 till 7 in one nappy and still no leaks!!

Anyway, knowing me your probably not in the UK and are wondering what the heck tescos is!!  ::) Id def say pampers if that all you can get, we just used the normal baby dry ones, nothing fancy!! But for all you UK mums, try Tescos!!  ;D

Has anyone ever used the Costco brand (Kirkland) diapers? I have heard they are like Huggies, which work great for Riley, but I don't want to buy 150 of them to test them!

I loved Pampers Cruisers until he was about 5 or 6 months old, and a little chubster, and they just didn't seem to sit right on him, so we switched to Huggies Supreme and they were great 9but they leaked a lot when he was younger).

never tried the costco brand.  don't know much about them.  you know though, you can return ANYTHING to costco.  open or not, old or new, the will take it back.  so if you find they don't work, take them back!!

We had a really bad problem with Mikey wetting his nappy through every single night until i bought a trial pack of Huggies dry nights for 4-7year olds, they aren't too big for him but they keep him dry all night long, we now buy him the full size packs every week, it costs a bit b/c they are around £5 for 10nappies but its worth it for the amount of washing powder i save on lol, we've had no accidents since!
