never snuggle to sleep?
« on: January 30, 2007, 21:11:32 pm »
I've been doing EASY with our triplets for about 2 weeks now and when the grandparents come to visit, they get upset (not super upset but...) that I don't let them hold and snuggle the babies till they fall asleep.  I have them put them in cribs before they fall asleep.  My mom says that she always snuggled me to sleep and it's sad that I don't allow myself to do it with my kids.  I think, well I can't ALWAYS hold THREE babies till they fall asleep so I sure don't want it to be a habit, but do you all EVER hold your precious sleeping babies?  I mean, it is one of the sweetest things right?!

I was very stict with DD falling asleep in her crib for all sleep bt at a young age it is ok for them to have cuddles while falling asleep as long as it isn't every time. At this young age they have very little awake time the only chance people get to cuddle is during sleep time.

We too were very strick with our DS's sleep time - He was always put in his bed awake.  It did not help though with MIL constantly rocking him when she had him in her arms.

I do agree that ocasionally it is fine to have your lo's rocked to sleep.  You just want to make sure that it does not become a habit or a prop.  After all grandparents are there to spoil your los  :-*
