too much milk for 13mo?

Hi!
My 13mo LO gladly drinks about 30-36oz of whole milk a day. We are trying to get him to gain more weight. Should I have him drink less milk and try to cram more food into him? He's not the world's biggest eater. One other concern that I have is that lately, his poops seem to be a bit more mushy - almost a cottage cheese consistency. Could the amount of milk he is drinking be affecting his digestive system in a negative way? Any wisdom would be so helpful!!

30-36 oz of milk is more than recommended for that age. If he is underweight I would talk to his ped about how to help him gain weight the best way. I think the rec amount for that age is 16-24 oz of whole milk.  My dd's poo seems different depending on what she eats.  The more liquid the diet the more liquid the poo I guess.

That is alot of milk for a Toddler they should be getting most their nutritional intake from food now. Could you cut back on the milk and try giving more food? What does/dosn't he eat?

great idea. i figured that would be suggested. he's just super picky. he loves tofu and breads and will eat yogurt and cheese but not too many other things.
