Crawlers, Standing, Pulling up...pre-walkers help!
« on: January 31, 2007, 15:44:38 pm »
HI Everyone,

I have a question - did you lo get super frustrated during this phase?  I feel as though my textbook, angel baby, who was always smiling, happy, laughing is now frustrated.  She is crawling, standing, and pulling up on everything in sight.  I feel as though she just wants to go-go-go, but can't get there.  She is still a happy baby, but more of a "whiner".  It is driving me mad trying to figure out what to do or what is wrong.

Anyone else go through this stage??

Hi Jen,
We had the same attitude here - DS is a very chill little guy, but got downright MAD when he stared cruising...took about 2 weeks for him to get the hang of it and actually once he was able to pretty much get where he wanted to go, he was even happier!
Hang in there - this too shall pass. And then, there will be something else!!  ::)

Very, very normal.  I think it's so hard for them to acquire a new skill -- lots of work, lots of effort and they really don't have language to express what's going on in their heads -- so lots of whining, frustration, etc.  Don't worry, she'll master it soon and then you'll really have some fun on your hands ;)

We had a really whiny phase just before Dom could crawl. He was just so frustrated with himself and even when he could do a few 'crawls' he seemed to forget he could do it and stop and scream for us to pick him up. Very tiring all round!

Hey ladies,
just noted this post & my LO is exactly the same way!!!

He's just getting the hang of crawling & is starting to pull himself up...now he just wants to CONSTANTLY be standing....sitting is just too boring for him.
He gets so frustrated & starts crying/whining to be pulled up & move around!!
I want my happy go lucky baby back...it seems he's forever upset & frustrated!! :'(
