Almost 5 month old NOW waking at night????
« on: January 31, 2007, 15:51:36 pm »
My DD will be 5 months old on Feb 9th. I have been reading several posts and had found one that was very similar to mine. But cant seem to find it again :-[
She has always been a really good sleeper. From the time she was brought home she was 12,2 and 6. Then she dropped the 12 feed, dropped the 2 feed and now she she in bed by 730 and up by 630. Now she wakes at least 2-3 times wants paci and patted, then goes back to sleep. She is formula fed and started on solids. She eats every 3-4 hours during the day usually with a cluster feed right before bed. she is very easy to get down if I hit that 730 window. Last night she woke at 930. went in gave paci patted and went right back to sleep. Woke again at 1200 am, gave paci patted went back to sleep and we reaped at 300. then woke for the day at 630. Why is she just now starting to wake like this. Any suggestions??

It sounds like your likely problem is the paci. Have you considered getting rid of it?

Paci could be the problem. She has never been a really big paci girl. maybe she has gotten addicted without me knowing it. How should I approach this? When will she be able to replace the paci herself??

LOs don't have the ability to find and replace the paci themselves until around 7 months. So now your question becomes do you want to hang in there with the paci or go through a rough patch getting rid of it?  ;)

Last night went great. She went down at 745 and didnt wake until 630. Her paci was out of her mouth this morning. If she woke I guess she settled herself!
