can a 90 go without a feed just before bed?
« on: February 07, 2007, 04:14:24 am »
I'm beginning to think the BF before bed is hindering her going to sleep on her own.  she does not want to give up the bonding from the BF.  I"ve noticed she might go to sleep without it, but then after the feed she does NOT want ME to put her down.  Dad or grandma has to go in after I leave to sooth and put her down.  It's an attachment thing right now.

I cannot express enough milk for her with pumping, and she will not take formula.  She had done formula before, but that was when I mixed it with breast milk and gradually increased the ratio of formula to breastmilk.  All my stored breast milk is gone, and am running out of options when I can't be here to feed her.  She even refuses a breastmilk bottle of only 2 or 3 oz.

Any thoughts?

Depending on what she's receiving during the day, it's quite possible that eliminating the evening feed is ok.  Maybe move it earlier even.

Isn't it tough trying to figure it all out?  Just when you have it, they change it on you.

It doesn't help that she's become overtired over the past few days, and we're also struggling with that.  If she wasn't overtired, it would probably be easier too.  If either one of you have some advice on that, I'd appreciate it, here's my other post: https://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=84495.0
Anyway, she doesn't wake hungry, she could easily wait an hr after waking before even acting like she wasnts food, so she's probably getting enough (hard to say), I also like the idea of moving it out of the night time ritual, that would make things easier.  I may wait until we're over the overtiredness stuff before trying that though.

Thanks to you both!
