Sleeping through night/supply question
« on: February 07, 2007, 12:40:32 pm »
My lo is almost 4 months old and she has been sleeping 7 to 10 hours at night. (which is great for me!!) Vut I was wondering if that would lower my milk supply. I already feel as though it has gone down a bit from going back to work and exercising so I am worried.

Does your supply go down much when your baby does not wake up to feed anymore during the night??

Your body will stop producing milk for those overnight feeds, and it can also sometimes have an effect on your overall supply, but not usually a huge effect. But between 3 and 4 months, most women find their breasts feel pretty floppy and wonder about supply when it's just stabilized.  That might be the case with you.  If she's doing well, though, you're likely producing plenty of milk for her!  :)
