PediaSure and Other Meal Replacement Drinks
« on: February 09, 2007, 23:49:45 pm »
What do you guys think about the meal replacement drinks?  My friend gives them to her lo because he has swallowing issues and throws up a lot so he doesn't eat much.  I was wondering about giving my lo some right now because he is all stuffy with a runny nose and so he is not eating much.  He is still on formula but the meal replacement drinks have so much more nutrients.  So...?

How come?  Would it be something to offer with his meal if he does not eat much?

I hadn't thought about it being dairy.  Thanks for reminding me.  About dairy though, he hasn't had milk yet but he has had cheese and yogurt and milk in baked things (like pancakes) so if he was going to react to milk wouldn't he have reacted to those?

Very interesting.  Thanks.  I will hold off on the PediaSure for now.  He is eating a little better but having trouble drinking because his nose is so stuffy.  Poor kid.

We are going to start introducing whole milk here soon since he is almost one!   ;D

Most of my lactose intolerant friends can have yogurt, h ard cheese and dairy cooked in foods but they cant have glasses of milk or ice cream

That's how I am.  Bad things happen with real milk or ice cream...especially milk shakes.   :o :o :o
