Night Waking or an Early Riser??
« on: February 18, 2007, 18:41:30 pm »
Hello,

My lo is 4.5 months and has never slept thru the night.  The dreamfeed never worked for her, she just ate every 3-4 hours.  She has some long stretches 5-6 hours, but they aren't consistent.  I am trying to feed her more during the day, but she has reflux (happy spitter) and can't take to much (she just throws it up)  Anyway, the past few nights she has been waking at 4:45am, not hungry because she usually has a feeding around 2:30/3:00am.  She is screaming, and when my husband or I go in to pick her up, it doesn't stop.  I thought maybe it might be her teeth bothering her, so I gave her Tylenol, but she still was upset.  Then I thought it may be developmental, because she has been trying to roll over during the day.  Anyway, when it happened again this morning, it was almost like she was ready to be up for the day, and was mad because we weren't turning on lights and playing with her.  This can't really be the time she wants to get up in the morning!  HELP!  Here is her schedule:

7:30am wake up / feed
9:15am nap 1hr 45min
11:30am feed
1:15pm nap 2 hrs
3:15pm feed
5:00pm catnap 45min
6:00pm bath
7:00pm feed & bedtime
10:30pm/11:00pm wakes up to eat
2:30am/3:00am wakes up again to eat
she takes a full bottle at each feeding.....I am wondering if I should start to cut one of them??  If so, which one should go first?

Thanks so much for your time and input.

Have you tried wake to sleep?  Are the wakes the same time each night?
