trouble with schedule and shhh/pat
« on: February 20, 2007, 19:20:37 pm »
I am having trouble getting my five month old on a good schedule because we are out of the house daily from 8:40 to 9:20 and then later from 11:40 to 12:20 taking my oldest to preschool.  I have three kids, 5, 3, and 5 mos. and it is hard juggling everyone's schedule.  Also, when I go in when she has woken from a short nap, i do the shhh/pat and after a few minutes of that she just looks at me and smiles,  after that she never goes back to sleep.  when i do pu/pd she cuts the crying off the minute i pick her up.  i am afraid my presence has become a prop. any advice?

Hi,
I have had a great schedule for my daughter (but I do have problems getting her to go to sleep).  What time does your baby wake up?  Could she have a short nap from 7:45-when you leave, or if he/she is a late waker could you do a 9:30-10:30 nap and a 12:30 - 1:30 nap?  My daughter was having a 9:30- 10:30  12:30-1:30 and 3:30-4:30 nap at 5 months and then bed at 7:30.
