what formula to use in spain?
« on: February 24, 2007, 18:54:32 pm »
We're going to visit family in Spain for a few weeks.  Currently we live in the US and I use Nestle Good Start Formula.  Because we're going for more than a few days and baggage is limited we can't take baby formula with us to last the whole trip.  Does anyone know what formula is the equivalent in Spain? I looked in the Nestle website and there are at least 5 formulas for each "stage"  ie: birth to 4 months, 4- 8 months, 8 months to a year...  My baby is 11 months and I don't want to start her on cows milk yet.

Thank you!

Unfortunatley I don't have any advice for you as I don't know much about the formula's in Spain, but am just bumping this up, so that it does not get lost.

Thanks Paula!  Doesnt look like there are many people from Spain  :-[   But my sister suggested just going for whatever formula is for the most sensitive babies since with the change of food, water, etc... she'll probably have tummy trouble anyway.

Just to update to anyone who might have the same question - I ended up using the NIDINA formula (made by Nestle) stage 2... worked well and my daughter drank it happily without a second thought.  Though I have to say, the baby food in general in Spain was much sweeter (ie: baby cereals) so my daughter was more than happy.
