1st b'day ideas
« on: February 20, 2007, 06:38:30 am »
DS is turning 1 in 6 weeks!!!

Where did the time went?

We will be setting up some 'larger' toys (cubby house & tunnels, etc) in the backyard and fill up an inflatable swimming pool with balls.

We would like a theme that would suit this arrangment, any ideas? What did everyone do for their lo's 1st b'day.

DS was one on 9th Feb and we spent it at home with a vomiting bug!!! ;D ;D

We had to cancel his party but are having it next month.  We're keeping it simple, just a little family tea with buffet type finger foods and birthday cake - there will be both adults and kids at it.

We haven't any activities planned but one thing we are doingarelittle party bags for the guests - with a slice of cake, balloon, party popper and a little toy for the kids' ones and a lottery scratchcard in each of the adult's.

If you're setting up all the stuff outside maybe you could do like a jungle theme or something like that?

My LO will be 1 in 3 weeks.  We are opting to have a pool party because he is familiar with the pool .  I do not want to introduce something new which may make him scared.

Ruggie-
The cake sounds wonderful!  I designed the invite too!  I had so much fun making the design in Photoshop.  I am having a Curious George theme.

Happy birthday to your LO!
