Last night, Amber woke at about 4am. Not immediately hungry, or upset, she just woke up. She is now nearly 14 weeks old and hasn't ONCE done this before (i know i'm lucky) although she is teething slightly, and has had her 2nd jabs this week. She had been sleeping 8 hours this week so...I have recently started to try her on a 4 hr easy, also because she wasn't feeding well, then getting hungry too soon, and this was knocking on her whole routine.
So, anyway... to avoid disturbing DH, I took her out of the bedroom, into the living room and held her, before too long (half hr or so) she was drifting off, but then started to moan...so i took her back to our room with a dim lamp on and fed her (I wanted her to be aware it was a night feed - which would have been different from every other night feed if i had of fed her anywhere else) Then put her back into her crib, and she went straight back to sleep. If it happens again, do I do this again? I'm very cautious about making her need a night time feed again - although it was a first - maybe i should give her the benefit?
