Wake up
« on: March 21, 2007, 11:55:13 am »
Should you wake your baby every morning at the same time so your daily routine (eating times, napping, etc...) is similar everyday? My lo for most of her life has consistently woken up between 7:00 and 7:15. This morning she's sleeping in and I don't know whether to wake her or let her sleep. I figure if she's still asleep she needs the rest, but won't this throw the rest of her sleeping off today? Will sleeping in effect her bedtime? Or should I still try to put her down at the normal time?

I guess "protocol" :) says wake them at the same time every day.  I guess I just think "wisdom of the body" especially if it doesn't happen often.  I'd put her to bed at the same time as usual.  She might be going through a growth spurt or more tired for some other reason.  Sometimes it can backfire (it has for me), but mostly it has worked out.

HTH!  :)
