MSPI and Carabel
« on: April 06, 2007, 19:50:35 pm »
Hi there my daughter (3months) has just been diagnosed with MSPI and I have to use Pepti-Junior milk which is a hydrolysed milk.  I have always used Carabel (Cow and Gate) feed thickener to thicken her feeds as even with the slowest flow teats (we have tried all sorts) she coughs and chokes on her milk and will not touch it.  It does say milk free on the side, but just wanted to make sure that that would mean there would be no milk protein in it whatsoever?! Am I being thicko?!?!  I tried the careline but it was shut as is good Friday. Does anyone know the answer, I will be so grateful for any advice

Being in the US I can't say for sure but if it says milk free I would assume it is. Does it list either casein or whey as an ingredient?
