Hi,
my 4 week old also seems to just have short sleeps all day. I thought babies this age were hardly awake! His sleeps last about an hour then he's awake for ages. In the mornings after he feeds at around 7:30 he stays awake until about 9:30! Then seems to nap here and there until about 4pm when he'll go for maybe 2 hours. He sleeps well at night though - at least 2.5 hours at a time.
I have background TV on so he is used to the noise through the day and the quiet at night - could that have anything to do with his light sleeps?

Hello Rachel, I have split your post from the original so that it doesn't get lost and so more people see it to help you.

To give us some more info so we can help, please can you post your routine, even if it's just a rough one at the moment? Also any other info that may be useful - any props being used/what's your wind-down/how does he get to sleep/etc.
Caroline :)
