Could rolling over be causing NW?
« on: April 18, 2007, 10:33:02 am »
Hi - we are struggling with NW's and have ruled out hunger. Zac is nearly 5 months and this week learn;t to roll over back to front - sometimes when he wakes from naps heis stuck but at night he does not seem to do this but is still waking.
My question is can milestones cause NW's even if they are not practising them at night?

Thanks

Hi

I have been told that milestone does cause sleep disturbance. If you have rule out hunger and pain/ilness, then just be consistant with your method in trying to resettle him without encouraging a bad habit.
In the mean time, you can give him plenty of opportunities to practice during the day.

Abso-freaking-lutely.  ;)  Like Loanne said, make sure he gets all the time to practice that he wants.
