What age for eggs and how to introduce
« on: April 26, 2007, 18:59:13 pm »
My DS is 12 months (almost 13 months). When can I give him eggs and should I give him straight eggs like scrambled eggs or should I make something with eggs in it to test it out? How will I know if he has a reaction from eggs?
What about peanut butter?

It is safe to try eggs at 1.  I just gave my son a scrambled egg the first time he had it.  I think peanut butter is safe to try at 1 too.  I have been scared to try it yet though ( my son is 14 months).  I think just start with a small amount and make sure he doesn't have a reaction.  If you have peanut allergies in your family you might want to wait until he is older to try it.  Hope that helps.
