how long should a 14 wk old be up for help ????
« on: May 08, 2007, 12:24:44 pm »
Hi

My lo is nearly 14 wks old and Im finding it hard to know when to put him down for naps as he shows no signs at all.  I use to go with the easy advice and not let him stay up longer than 1 hr and 15 mins or so but due to his age hw wants to stay up longer, how long is the maximum time he should be awake for at this age as sometimes hes happy to stay awake for neally 2 hrs then when i put him down he seems overtired.  He also wont nap after 5 ish and stays up till 7 when its bath and bedtime.  Can they stay up this long at this age help I feel a bit lost as no advice to follow.  Should I also start to folloe the 4 hr easy?

cheers

And awake time really depends on each baby, but if he absolutely wont want to sleep at 1.15 try 15 minutes later.
