Just wanted to add something - although I am virtually useless when it comes to BF advice.

My lo was very very windy also, but what I didn't know until I learned the hard way is that windy babies can also get wind from being out in the wind...if it was windy at the park, that could have triggered your bad day.  Happened to me a couple times before someone thought to tell me what was wrong with my baby when she was screaming so loud that a neighbour came over and told me - having seen me out with her in the wind that morning, and listened to her screaming with wind pain for several hours already....

Bryony - nice to know there's light at the end of the tunnel! We have been using infacol for over a month now - no idea if it is working or not. I don't know how long you can safely use it...
Rinajack - that's very very interesting - it was blowing a gale at the park yesterday....thanks for the tip!

If it was triggered by the wind, it will be fine within a day or two, just keep lo sheltered if you can.

the infacol does help, and we used it for a few months - the wind problems do start to clear up usually around the 3 month old mark for most babies, so hang in there. sounds like you are doing a great job to me.

Pigeon - you can use Infacol as long as you want - it's inert and doesn't have any side-effects...

Intersesting about the effect of a windy day - I didn't know that either!!

Hi, just wanted to let you know that we're still here, and we're still BFing! In fact, seems to be going v. well, Billy has dropped his night feed! Will now go 10.30 (df) - 6.30. Still wakes a couple of times but is easy to resettle without feeding. At least its a step in the right direction.
Am working towards transitioning to 3.5 hour feeding, but thanks to you all for your support, couldn't have done it without you! And the wind seems to be getting much better (bar today as I had a glass of champagne yesterday!!)
