good wind-down activity ideas?

What do you ladies to for a wind-down activity for your LOs about 20-30 min before naps?  Something quiet and unstimulating?  I usually walk around the house with him and it soothes him but it is tiring, 2-3x a day everyday.

How about a quiet activity before the wind down?

Reading books, walking in the bjorn around the house, a bath (no rule that you can only have one bath per day! :) ), sitting quietly in the rocker, cuddling with a favorite toy, singing a soft lullaby or listening to music. If your lo is spirited I would avoid bright lights, going outside, and watching TV right before naps/sleep.

I thought letting my ds look at his mobile (with music and in motion) would be a good wind down activity, but after about a week and a half, I realized I was overstimulating him (he is touchy).  Now I just sit in the rocker w/o rocking and he is almost asleep before I can get him in the crib.

Like you I usually start walking around the house quietly about 10 min before we go upstairs.
