Boots has their own brand and other well know name brands. We liked the Boots 6month sippy and then also the 1 yr straw sippy. They were DS's fave's. John Lewis baby section or Mothercare sell them too. HTH.

As I've been using Avent bottles, I bought some Avent sippy cups. I started offering the 3m+ one (which is just the smaller one) several days ago and I think DS will gradually take to it, he likes to hold one handle and have a chew on the spout. He's even had a few sucks.

whoops, maybe they may not be called sippy cups then, i've got one of those avent ones with the spout things, and he wont have it. I want this cup thing that slants with handles on. Not a very good discription, but maybe you know what i mean?

Hi Mella,
Yes, actually I think sippy cup is the US term that I see a lot on this site. Here in the UK they are just called trainer cups I think.
I have just invested in a set of those slanting cups from Blooming Marvellous (on-line). They are also in the NCT on-line shop.
Cheers

There are loads, you can get them at all the big supermarkets too. My DD did really well with the Avent sippys but took her a while to work out how hard she had to suck due to the little rubber valve that makes it non-spill. I have many friends who took the rubber valve out but put it in when transporting the cup. I don't think they're the best as they tend to leak, esp. when the handle's on.

I found the bog-standard tommee tippee sippy cup (about £2!) was really good for when she started to do it herself - like this one:

We also got the tommee tippee easi-flow cup but Seren didn't take to it so well:

Now that Seren is over 1 she's started to use their straw cup which she loves as she doesn't have to try to lift and tip the cup, just has to hold & suck!

Hope that helps!
Oh, just seen your post, you mean the "Doidy Cup", you can get them online from Babyzoop:

Or, I think John Lewis have started to sell them.
Good luck!

We have 2 Doidy Cups that we got at
http://www.babyzoop.co.uk/doidy.htm
They were a pleasure to order from and even called me when the size of my BabyGro Bag wasn't in and offered to replace it with another. The Doidy's are fab and DS still uses them as a toddler once in a while.
