Hi,
My 7-month-old (corrected age is 5-mths) is way too greedy at bedtime, or that's how it appears. We feed him :-
7am - 7oz (not his hungriest time)
8am -2 cubes puree
11am - 7/9oz
2/3pm - 7oz (sometimes he seems really hungry at 2pm which is early I know)
5pm - 2 cubes puree
6.30pm - 9oz
7pm - another 3/4oz !
Then sleep by 7.30pm latest (he wakes soon after 5am..............
)
Firstly, he's hungry earlier at 2pm not 3pm. Odd but that has developed as a pattern and he's usually done with his 2nd nap by 2pm anyway.
Then, at bedtime he fusses and whines if we put him down after 9oz. So, we get him up and feed him again by which time he's sleepier and he goes down awake but drowsy. I am nervous that he'll get so that he'll be almost asleep at this time. Is there something wrong with his routine ? This has been going on for months but now he's been on solids for about 3 weeks I reckon we should be doing away with this top-up (he used to have a milk feed of about 5oz at 5pm before we switched to solids).
Any ideas ?
