Waking at Night... is it Teeth?
« on: June 07, 2007, 07:17:46 am »
HI, would anyone have any suggestions.........My little girl is 6 and a half months old. She has been on solids for a while (since 4 and half months) and since Sunday (3rd June), she is not eating. She only takes about 140ml at 7am feed, 60/90ml at 11am feed, 60ml at 3pm feed and 140 at 7pm feed.  We stopped doing the dream feed about 5 days prior to this as she would wake anyway anytime from 2am to 3am and I would have to feed her and she would take 120ml so we thought we may as well wake up rather then sit up and wait as she was then only taking about 120ml anyway at the dream feed.
She will only manage a few mouthfuls of fruit and yoghurt at all three meals. But she is waking up at night and the only way I can get her back to sleep is feeding her and then she's only taking 60/90ml max!!! She had a temperature of 38.9 on Sunday and on Monday 37.6 so I know she has been off colour. She has also had a bad nappy rash, which has all said possibly teething, BUT there are still no teeth.
I am worried that I have started AC parenting with these little feeds at night. They start anywhere from 10pm to 3am!!
Please help, any suggestions or other experienced on this would be great.
Thank you

sounds like teething to me, the gums will go white before the tooth comes through, although it could be weeks before they come through, teething is a rough ride for many and for others very easy....
my ds goes of his food before a new tooth he can't be doing with a spoon in his mouth
