Weight and sleeping thru the night ??
« on: June 21, 2007, 20:18:57 pm »
I have heard a baby needs to be past a certain weight before they can sleep thru the night (like DF to 6-7am) - but I don't know what that weight is...............anyone heard or know anything along these lines?

I also don't think weight has anything to do with it. It's more about ability to go X number of hours without a feed and their ability to sleep independently.

Well Ewan was much smaller than Bram but he slept through much earlier.  Like pp said I think it has more to do with the self soothing skills than weight

I heard for many weeks about the magic number 13... Supposedly, I was told, my baby would sleep when he reached 13lbs.  Very unfortunetly for us, 13 came and went, as did 14, 15 and 16 :-\

well - we are going to give it a shot, not sure how much he weighs now anyway - would guess 13-14 pounds though. I think he can do it  ;)
