hello,
if I give my 3.5 month old a dream feed at 11pm what should be my expectations for until how long she could last. I have been going in and patting her back to try to make her last longer. SHe is over 14 lbs. put I am worrying that she is really hungry in the night. She eats every 3 hours in the day.

thank you

How long is she lasting?  I would think she could last 3-4 hours.

Proud to have breastfed for a combined total of 35 months

She should be able to last at least as long as she does during the day and probably longer...  It's possible that she might be getting ready to transition to longer than 3 hrs during the day too.  Not all bf babies get to 4 hrs between feeds for a long time (if ever!), but going from this and from your other post about her tugging and pulling, I'm wondering if she's just not that hungry at the 3 hr mark.  Have you tried seeing if she'll go longer during the day - maybe 3.25 or 3.5 hrs?  Sometimes this also helps them go longer all night (gets them used to having more in their tummies, I imagine!).
