"napping" at bed time
« on: July 05, 2007, 14:47:30 pm »
Hi

my 4 month old is on an 8 to 8 schedule. Nights are rough with wind and she is a 40 minute napper, although I can usually extend them :-\

Moving to 4 hour EASY on the feeding side but with the 40 minute naps we are looking at either 2 x 1 1/2hr naps + 1x 40 mins or 3 x 1/ 1/2 hr naps a day

Anyway, nearly every night, after going down well, she wakes after 40 mins

She is fairly easy to settle after this and then only really wakes for food or from wind, and she seems to know its night time -  but why does it happen?? ???

Thanks
Emma

I think she is probably overtired.  Can you post your typical routine?
What have you done to help the gas?  Is she breast or formula fed?
How is she when she wakes?  Does she cry for you? What usually settles her? Are you still feeding her overnight?

Sorry about all the questions. I want to get a good picture of what is going on.
