Introduction of egg and peanut butter
« on: July 05, 2007, 15:22:35 pm »
Hi, I was wondering what is the best way to introduce these types of food. My LO is 15 months old and a bit of a picky eater so I need to try some new ideas. Is it safe to say that if she has had bread products that she would be safe from any egg allergies? As for peanut allergies (pardon my ignorance) is it just a matter of her trying it and doing the wait and see game? And have Benydryl on hand? thanks

Definitely ok to try eggs as long as no family history of allergies there. But I'd definitely wait with peanut butter until at least 2.

DS is 17mo and had his first boiled egg with toast soldiers this morning.

Mashed most of it about on his plate but liked what he did have!
