The most bizzar place I have Breastfed is....

Hi everyone,
I recently joined this forum and am learning many interesting things and tips from all of you (thanks!).
I live in NYC and am always joking with my friends (who have no kids or have never BF) about random places I find myself nursing my baby Boaz. For example- the massage chair at Bed Bath and Beyond. I went to buy something and it was his time...the massage chair was the only one there, and it was a really nice massage....
I thought it could be interesting (and funny) to hear some stories from you about the most random/ unexpected places you breast fed your baby.

In a car
In a London black cab
At Starbucks
At the library
At Christmas dinner of 20 people at the table whilst I shoved massive quantities of turkey down my throat, I was starved and couldn't wait. 
In Warrior pose at Mum and Baby Yoga
While vacuuming
In the swimming pool
In the bath
On a chaise lounge in Mexico 
On a plane
On a train
In a pub
At the computer

Loads more I am sure.

On a cliff in Pembrokeshire (back from the edge I must add) overlooking the sea.

While vaccuming aisling That's quite impressive.

I just remembered - signing for a parcel when a delivery bloke turned up. He wasn't remotely phased and said something like, "that reminds me. It's my coffee break soon".

Can't believe I am admitting to this  ...  but on the toilet.  For some reason, I always had the sudden urge to pee whenever I breastfed in the early days, and a couple times I just ran to the bathroom with baby still attached.

I agree, even with a sling, nursing while vacuuming is impressive.

That's funny about the delivery guy! 

Here's my list so far:
In the car, outside of random gas stations/fast food places during various road trips
In the car, during rush hour while dh drove (I leaned over the car seat since she was strapped in....)
In the middle of a 4th of July celebration last year
Dh's ex-wife's house (that was awkward....)
On a plane
In the airport
On the beach
In a tent while camping

I thought you guys would have all vacuumed with your LO's at the breast!  It is only a 1 hand job and the other hand is available to cup the head!   

I got an email from a friend that I made at mum and baby yoga and she said that apparently it was me that relaxed all the Mum's once they saw me as she put it: "whip it out!"  I thought of all the places, yoga taught by our Douala no less, would be the most obviously compfortable place to do it!

Yeah, I'm impressed too, about the vacum and bfing at the same time!

Maybe this post should have been "where haven't we bf'd?!"

We bf pretty much everywhere as dd was bf until 18 months. I think one of my most memorable bfing sessions was on a busy Saturday afternoon at Niagara Falls on a park bench overlooking the falls. There were TONS of tourists. I turned to dh and said "remember in the beginning when I'd go hide in the Jeep to do this?!", ha!

Not such a bizarre place but a bizarre experience...

DD was almost 3wks old and we had been invited to a wedding reception at a gorgeous hotel.  Still very new to bf & she would nurse for what seemed an eternity I was ready to head home when she showed signs of waking up.  Instead, my OH went out to the receptionist and promptly came back with a grin....he had got a key to one of the executive suites for us to loan!!  Up we went, 1 and a half hours later my OH came to see if we were OK only to find us both in zzzz land on an enormous bed...he made a comment about me eating the chocolates on the pillows.....that's nothing, I was going to order room service

By far the most bizarre place to bf is the so called baby feeding room at Heathrow airport - it's like a smelly toilet cubicle  only did that the once, the departure lounge did just fine after that!!

Starbucks is great - one of the only guaranteed smoke free places around here, and with soft chairs and nobody caring how long you stay. In Vienna, just about every other woman in there has a baby attached 

I bf-ed lots in the car with Lisi still fastened into her infant seat - no mean feat I can assure you! And, no, I wasn't driving 

Oh, and in the middle of a field in the depths of winter with raging wind, and minus temperatures - madame can't be kept waiting now!
