They are Google Adsense ads.  Andy has formatted them to appear after the 5th and 10th post of threads.  They may seem like a nuisance but they are in place to help keep this site free for it's users :)

As it's against Google's rules to request that folks just click links, all I can say is that should an ad catch your eye then please feel free to check into it if it is something that could be of interest to you.  The text at the bottom of the forum is placed in a "footer" and as such will not show up in Google trawl :) :)
