I know what you mean.  Thomas had a bedtime of 6:30 for soooo long, probably from about 8 months to well after a year - I felt like we could never do anything as it was so close to bedtime.

Well after a week, things seem to be going back to the way they were  :(

Nothing has changed, he does not nap after 2pm, and has been going to bed at 8:00pm.  It is just before 9:00 and he has only just fallen asleep.

He is teething at the moment - could that be it?

He can't possibly be ready for a later bed time again!

Well he is still teething on and off - seem to be taking forever to come through.

But his sleep pattern has settled back down, and he is asleep by about 8:15.

He has taken to waking earlier than normal, but think that could be down to DP leaving for work at 5:00, and that may be disturbing him.  Will see how next week goes as DP's shifts are different then.

I hope it settles too.  Not used to getting up that early, although maybe it is his way for preparing me when the baby comes.

Yes getting very excited, although also nervous at the same time.  Thomas is getting excited too and keeps on pointing to my belly and saying Abigail.  He is too cute, and knows that the wipes and nappies and baby clothes etc are all for the baby and keeps on pointing to them saying babbas or Abbi's.

Started with the nesting - I have to say this is the cleanest my house has been in a long while.  Although with a 2 year old, it does not stay very tidy  ::)

LOL, so would have Thomas.  We both just love the name.  Kinda named after my late mum  ;D My mums name was Gail, so we thought Abigail to give her her own identity.

Last night was fantastic.  TT was asleep by 8:15.  I woke up at 4:30 this morning, got up checked on him covered him with his blanket again, moved his lovie closer to him and went back to bed.  He did not wake until 7:47  ;D ;D ;D ;D I was nearly late for work as I overslept too.

No I don't get up for work at that time - It is just usually the time the baby decides to bounce on my bladder  :-\   My DP does get up a little after 4:30 every other week for work, but then he is home by 1:30pm, so it is not too bad.

So we have had a few good nights and a few bad.

Some nights he will fall asleep within 10-15 minutes and others - like last night and tonight he did not fall asleep until 21:15  :o Not sure if his teeth are bothering him although he did not seem to be in much pain  :-\

So am not sure.......

Riley is doing this on and off  :-\

This is a good week (knock on wood). Is his temperament okay in the daytime. Riley is fine most of the time (excpet for teething screams now and then).

Yeah he is fine during the day - the odd tantrum which is normal otherwise he is really happy.  I am stumped.

Sorry Paula, what I meant was that he is putting off bedtime until 9pm-ish some days. He always takes his nap, just total sleep seems to be dropping to about 12 some days :-\

I totally agree with you Stacy.  As long as he is happy and is not screaming and refusign to go to bed, I am just going to ride with it.  I am still getting to rest and he falls alseep when he is ready.  He is still napping so that is a good thing, and with him falling asleep a bit later I get to sleep in a bit later in the morning as he is not awake at sparows  ;D So I win anyway.

Welcome to the club Jenny  :-\

Tonight it was 9pm before he fell asleep, but at least he was happy to just sing in bed.  He did nap today - had an hour and 20 minutes
