If anyone remembers...sleep study/sleep apnea/ENT
« on: July 20, 2007, 15:26:13 pm »
Not sure if you girls remember but my 3 year old Carmela went for the sleep study on July 5 and came back with moderate sleep apnea.  She went to the ENT doctor (Ears/nose/throat) today and she is getting her tonsils out on August 31.  Just an update :)

Thanks for the update.

Do they think that will help the apnea?

Thanks for the update.  How is she sleeping these days?  How are you coping?

thanks girls!  She's actually sleeping pretty well these days, but she is STILL not totally rested :(  Its driving me mad!  Last night she went to bed at 7:00 pm (like every night), fell right alseep, woke up at 6-6:30 when DH was getting ready for work (he got a phone call that woke us all up), but she went back to sleep until 8:00 am.  Well at 10:00 we had to go to the doctor, and don't you know, she's yawning, rubbing her eyes, etc.  It is so obvious she's not getting a good night sleep despite sleeping so many hours now!  It breaks my heart.  I am so so so hoping this helps with the apnea!

Hi.  Can I ask you what made you think your DD had apnea?  I have always wondered if my DD has this since she snores so loud at night.  What was the sleep study like and how did DD do with it?  I hope things improve for your DD.
