My DS is 7 months old and has been on a 4 hr EASY for a while. Lately, he has been fighting his evening catnap. I have been trying to extend his A time so that he could eventually drop the catnap. He has dropped the catnap but has had a hard time sleeping during the 2 long naps. He did not have a problem with sleeping at least 1.5 hrs prior to this during his long naps. Is he developmentally ready to go beyond 4 hours for a feed? He is on solids 3x a day in addition to breastfeeding. I wonder if it's my supply, and he's not getting enough? He usually wakes up in the middle of his naps (usually 4 hrs after last feed) and I will nurse him, but he always falls back asleep. I have let him cry/fuss to see if he will go back to sleep on his own, but he does not. I really think he is hungry at these times. Here is his schedule (roughly).
6:30 wake up, BF
7:30 solids
9:30 nap (wake up around 10:30 to nurse, back to sleep)
11:30 wake up, solids
2:30 nap (wake up around 3:00 to nurse, back to sleep)
4:30 wake up, solids
6:30 BF, bath
7:00 bed
Is this part of the transition? What should I be doing differently?
