Cindy, your ds sounds like my girl. Only, when she doesn't run around like a fool in the morning, she will sleep for 45 minutes before waking. Ugh. An hour and 15 minute nap is actually a good one around here. We've had days when the nap was longer, about an hour and 45 minutes, but those followed nights where she didn't sleep as long, and I usually extended the nap when she woke.
She is also teething and has a cold, maybe that is affecting the naps. She doesn't sleep through the night yet though. She sleeps for about 10 1/2 hours, then nurses and we sleep together for about an hour.
We've been dealing with this transition for a while now, and things are kind of settling down I guess. I hope she starts sleeping through the entire night soon and that the nap lengthens. She's been a short napper from the get go, so I am not overly optimistic.
Does anyone here have an issues with the napping environment and the brightness level? She naps a LOT better when the room is almost pitch black. However, she will be going to day care soon, and the napping area is not very dark. Will she get used to this?
