regressing

Hi everyone, I'm new to this site and have just started with the Baby Whisperer.  My baby is 7 months and not a great sleeper (very much a spirited child I think).  I started in earnest about 10 days ago and went cold turkey on night feeds almost straight away without any problems.  I really saw results quickly and by night 4 we had our first EVER all night sleep - just one self-settle.  Then nights 5 and 6 were pretty good too with only a couple of brief settles from me to help him get back to sleep.  And then day 7 was our first ever really good day sleeps (2 x 1.5 hours).
Well I was so elated and so happy with the method but since then it has all gone seriously down hill and the last three nights he's been waking every hour to 1.5 hours and has had max. two 0.5 hour day sleeps.  I know I should expect some regression but this seems too much?? I think teething may be interfering but this is BAD.  Can anyone help me with suggestions or their experiences with regression??

Regression at this stage is completely normal, Tracy even mentions it in the book. If you remain consistant in your new way of settling etc  it should only last a few days. I would think that cosistancy is the key here.

I would keep an eye for a few days and hopefully you should see an improvement

You are doing fantastically well, it is great you have seen results so quickly

thanks so much for your support, I know to expect some regression but its been five bad nights now so I hope it doesn't last much longer!  I've been really trying to stay consistent but am struggling to keep him in bed for the day sleeps as I am close to the edge and would rather get him up than get angry when he fights it for so long.  Other than that, we have a good four hourly routine, no props to sleep apart from the occasional head-stroking and shushing.  I am perservering!
