Ennypen, many thanks, you are very kind.
We feel better that they have conducted tests which should at least provide some factual basis for them to determine treatment. We now have in fact three appointments over the next week, the paediatrician, a dermatologist and a dietician. I am finally seeing the benefit of all the tax's we pay !! Although in this case I would rather it hadn't come to that !
I think to summarise this, I would strongly recommend anyone who suspects their baby has health issues to make an absolute nuisance of themselves with the doctors/gp's and not to feel bad about it at all. If you allow yourself to be brushed off by them, they appear to do it. From where I am standing, Mums and Dads know best !!
The other thing we have done for periods of time is to keep a fairly detailed journal of each day, diet, sleep times, skin condition, medication etc. Its a bit of a drag to do with everything else these small bosses require but it really helps to rationalise and organise things so that in the event something changes or a new pattern develops, you have some history against which any problems can be compared to help isolate causes. Also, it helped us to appreciate that although our situation was problematic in some areas, there were in fact some areas which had improved. Without it, in the heat of battle, we have found it very difficult to recollect the details with enough accuracy to be of relevance.
Again, many many thanks to everyone who has offered their advice and support.
Terry, Sairah and Alyssa (the small boss)
