Oh why is he so sensitive to OT-today wu 6, nap 1:15-2:45, then we had busy pm due to various bit n bobs, ( normally I put him down at 6:40-to give time to chill fur 7) tonight not down till 6:55-he's still awake at 9!!!! Argghhhh-why does it wind me up so much! So frustrating....

Oh yuck :(  It used to wind me up too!  Hope he settled eventually.

He did 9pm till 7am so I guess that's not too bad! Think I was a bit late getting him in bed and was too much going on in pm!! Another day another tired Mummy-it's typical that 5yr old had a night terror too!! Yawn!!!

So we've had 3-4 good days of 7-6 nights and capped 1.5naps, but the last few nights this chattering has started again, meaning he's not asleep till 8. So he's only getting 10hr nights and 1.5hr nap
I'm worried this isn't enough sleep-he's 27months now. But don't know!
Should I just ride with it? Bring BT earlier incase he's a bit OT?

It sounds a bit like he might be stuck in the OT/UT loop? Oscar was doing this for a long time... I had to adjust BT and naps as I went along. Found using a sleep diary really useful as I could see patterns emerging...

Hmmm yeah it seems we have three good days, then three that are short (sleep wise!) what to do!? Would you after a short night do a EBT?

I think a sleep and activity diary would be a great idea.  Just in case something does become obvious.

There's a certain amount of feeling your way needed, because these things are so individual, and of course there is the developmental madness problem.....!

Yeah, it's just maddening when he chatters and I know he's exhausted! Grrrr! I think he's easily OT, and he was ok till he pooped at BT so was later to bed, and that seems to have started the slight OT again!

Do you ever sit with him a bit in those sorts of circs?  Just stroke his hair and help him relax a bit?  Might help.
