17oz - that is great - 1 more than yesterday - she will soon be back to her old self again  ;)

Now all I need to do is get my DS to drink his milk again and we will be smiling.  He is cutting his two top eye teeth and has been off his milk for a while - not sure if it his teeth that are bothering him, or if it is just a phase.  Oh well, hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Keep us posted on how Sophie is getting on Kathryn.

Maria, how are you getting on??

hello
today we have had 7oz this morning, 6.5 this afternoon and 5.5 at bedtime, so things are definitely getting back to normal. I don't think she is going to go back to having 3 x 9oz bottles but that's ok as at 10 months I guess she would naturally be having a little less. She is loving cheese and yoghurt which as you know we started only these last 2 weeks so that's no doubt helping with the calcium intake.
Bizarrely, she has drunk much more water these last 2 days as well so it seems it must have been the teeth and even her beaker was hurting too- poor little sausage  :(
thankyou for your kind concern- you are a superstar as always!  :-*

That is fantastic news - I am so pleased she is doing so well.

My DS loves yogurt, but unfortunately won't touch cheese - you should see the face he pulls when we offer it to him.  But yes, the cheese and yogurts will definitely count towards it.

Keep us posted on how you are getting on.

Take care

Thank you both for your concern.  Looks like we're having a tooth coming out, first one on the top. So I'm sure that's what's been going on. We had another good day today with 7 oz, 6.5 oz, and 5 plus lots of yogurt and cheese, so I'm totally pleased!  Thanks again.

We had a good day too - My DS drank 13.5oz today which is over double what he has been taking lately, so fingers crossed it stays that way.

and the other funny thing is that I was beside myself thinking she was suffering from 2 weeks of virtually no formula- when I took her to clinic on Friday in 4 weeks she'd put on 22oz! HA HA HA HA  ;D How's that for a growth spurt and how stupid do I feel!

Hi Kathrynk,

My dd (10months also) is the exact same as your dd.  She just refuses her bed time bottle....sometimes just taking 2onz and then in the morning she will only take 4onz (i make up 8onz)...which amazes me because she should be really hungry after sleeping all night...but i give her a break of an hour and she will take some more milk and the rest of it goes into her breakfast.  Like you i get very stressed out over it.  I'm wondering too whether to give up her lunch time bottle (i make up 5onz....sick of wasting milk  >:() but i'm afraid that if i do that she still won't take her bedtime bottle and then she will have taken even less milk... ??? its soo bleeding confusing isn't it.

I've been contemplating on changing her meals around.....like giving her a light lunch at 12.30 and dinner at 5.30....thinking that by giving her a dinner in the evening it will fill her up more for the night...but lately she has been gone off her meals....two top teeth are just ready to pop out.  Maybe the bottles are hurting her when she sucks................ohhh do you know what, i really think i'm loosing it...maybe i'm worrying too much and should let her eat/drink what she wants....as you say, babies don't know how to starve themselves and will eat when they are hungry.

C.

hi there
if her teeth are ready to pop and her feeding routine was working fine before then I would wait till the teeth arrive to see if she settles down again before making big changes. My dd does have her main meal in the evening, we have finger foods like sandwiches and fruit at lunchtime and then a big bowl of mush for dinner about 5ish. She has slept well all night since having a nice big dinner. She did go off her solids too when she got her first teeth, so hopefully your dd will sort herself out once the rotten teeth finally arrive (fingers crossed). It is hard not to get stressed when they are not eating though, so I do feel for you, I am now calm again as things here are pretty much back to normal  :D Hang on in there xxx

Thats great news about the weight Kathryn.  What a big girl.

Skinnymalinks - I do agree with Kathryn.  Teething can be really painfull for a lo and it especially hurts them to when they sucking on their bottles.  Teething gel can help at times, but sometimes it does not work.

I know that we can all get stressed out about their milk intake and their food (I am still doing it and my lo is 16 months old), but they will go back to themselves once the tooth has popped through.

Keep us posted on how you get on.

Take care
