Has anyone else found that their breastfed baby cannot last the 3 or 4 hours between feeds? For the first 6 weeks, ds was all over the place from 1.5 to 3 hours (some of that may have been misinterpreting cues, but often he was definitely hungry); he was over 8lbs at birth so not a weight issue. After the 6-week point he settled into a 2.5-hour cycle but was 12 weeks before he could go for 3 hours -- and that not all the time. Now at 15 weeks, he usually goes for 3 hours until late afternoon when he goes back to 2.5 hours or even 2 (naturally tanking himself up before bed maybe?). He doesn't seem anywhere near ready to transition to a 4-hour routine.
I'm wondering if other moms had the same experience? It's starting to seem like BW is more geared toward formula fed infants...
