Thanks for popping in again Aleesa! We are hoping to have a great day today...

Unfortunately, since my last post we ran into a rough 48 hours (the fault belongs to me and DH, not DS). Just before Kempton was born we moved to a new town, clear across the country from our family and friends and because we've been back and forth with the holidays I never really made any acquaintances in the new town, thus, we haven't really had any temptations to pull us away from home and a complete dedication to Kempton's routine... until lately. This past weekend was full of little events/outings and Kempton's sleep got totally lost in the mix.  :(
My plan is to ignore what can't be changed and forge ahead on a new day- using all tips from Claires mum's pp.  :) Because I know he's built up some OT now I'm also going to try and watch his sleepy cues more closely to see what kind of A time he can handle. I sure hope that one off weekend isn't going to combat all of our progress... fingers crossed!

Hey Mandi - just read your previous post and I'm so proud of you and Kempton.  Well done!!!!  Isn't he a little trooper.

As for today's post...your approach sounds spot on.  Try and eliminate the build up of OTness and follow his cues.  You'll be back on track soon.

I think we have truly made it over the hump! I have not offered ANY sleep intervention in a couple of days because Kempton has been doing it all himself... even when he woke at 1:30 this morning, I held back and he had soothed himself back to sleep in about 5 min. HOORAY! His naps have been at least 1.5 hours long (most closer to 2 full hours) and the first feed after last night's DF was at 5:00 this morning.

The only part of all this that leaves me a bit sad is knowing that I won't really need to write anymore and I'll miss talking to you ladies. Thanks again for all your help... and who knows, this really may not be the last time you hear from me?!

Fab news....look forward to not hearing from you again!!!!  Perhaps you can offer some encouragement to others and we'll catch up on the boards from time to time.
