Ok, so I tried the big experiment last night at DF time and guess what....

the little blighter didn't drink a drop  ::) just spat it all out, so there's another 200mls down the drain! I tasted it and it tasted all soapy so I don't really blame her. Just hope I don't have to do some intensive work to get her to take a bottle again  ::)

Oh hugs honey!  If she's only having an occasional bottle, have you thought about scalding it?  I know that's not a great idea because it kills off a lot of those great enzymes, BUT it will stop the milk tasting soapy and if it's only the odd bottle here and there, perhaps it might be worth a shot?  Just an idea...

Babies who only take the bottle on occasion often take more than they might need to. It slips down so easily in comparison to the breast and their jaws are physically trained to do more work. The bottle is a bit of a surprise and they usually keep on going. Plus someone caring for your child may feel they are expected to finish the bottle and keep encouraging.

I daren't give the King a bottle - I don't want him to go back to it! But he does look longingly at Sam's and lydia's when they have theirs!!
