Yesterday went fairly well, I think.  We managed three naps, 1hr10min, 1hr45min(!), and 55min.  But every single nap he woke tired from...woke crying and buried his face into me when I picked him up.  I also didn't leave the house for fear of missing the chance to put him down.  We had a wonderful bath/bedtime routine...absolutely NO crying, but he had a hard night.  Woke twice before 10PM, then EW at 4AM instead of 5/5:30 and up for the day at 6:15.

I was also thinking, maybe you want to start a new thread?  Especially if you're getting EWs again :( I just wonder if you start a new one, and post your EASY, maybe because it's new you'll get some fresh eyes and some moderators to look at it?  You're just still having so much trouble, it might be nice to get some different perspective :)  What do you think?

I think this would be a good idea, especially since the post title doesn't really fit anymore.  I just don't know what I would title a new post...what exactly is my problem now? :)  I guess it's that his naps are never consistent, and I'm having trouble figuring out A times.  Should I post on the naps board, or maybe the EASY board?

BTW, is your little guy back to normal now?

Wow, yay for good naps yesterday!! :D you probably didn't even know what to do with all that Y time LOL :)  Sometimes Dylan wakes cranky from long naps too, almost like a sleep hangover or something. He'll wake from a 1h15 nap happily crawling in his crib, but a 1h45 he fusses and yawns most of the time, it's very strange.  Too bad Iain had such a rough night after that great day :(  Usually those  earlier evening wakings are a sign of OT, but he had such great naps during the day that doesn't seem likely. Maybe he decided you had it too easy during the day and wanted to spice up your night a little bit ::)

If you were to start a nee thread you could do it in the EASY forum, maybe asking for help tweaking the routine? Call it inconsistent naps, EWs, routine tweak please or something like that. That way you could get help with the sleep, and routine tweaks will help you sort out your As.

Yes Dylan does seem to be back to normal (knock on wood!!), thanks for asking :)  After a few days of short naps and bad nights, we had a really good night last night (although bedtime was a bit messy) and so far today he's had a 1.5h am and 1.5h and counting pm ;D Although I'm starting to hear movement on the monitor so I'm sure he'll be up right shortly :)

I hope you're having another good day today!

We had an OK day today...one good nap more than an hour, but our afternoon was rough.  Ah, well...

Wanted to ask about a new behavior I'm noticing.  He's only been doing it a few days and I'm not sure what to make of it.  Iain has been doing this head shaking thing, kind of looks like he saying "no".  He's not rubbing his head 'cause he does it even when being held upright.  It seems to only happen when he's tired, or overtired, I can't tell yet.  Or maybe he's trying to wind himself up instead of taking a nap?  Have you ever heard of this?  Maybe it's a sleep cue?

That's hilarious, Dylan started doing the exact same thing 2 or 3 weeks ago! He does it all the time! Although I think my dh reinforces it by saying "no no no no no" and shaking his head back at him, grinning or laughing, so he's got a great audience :P. The only difference is Dylan doesn't just do it tired: in the high chair, while being changed, in the jolly jumper, sitting on the floor... I think for him it just feels neat/ makes the world look funny, etc. Strange things these kids do ;)

Lol!  I think our little guys have some sort of connection :)

DH said he probably does it just for fun.  I bet it does make everything look pretty weird.  I wonder why Iain only does it near nap time?  It doesn't seem to be the most reliable cue.  Just another mystery I guess ;)

Also, love your new pic.  I can just imagine the giggles :)

Thanks! Dh was posing peekaboo around the couch and Dylan was laughing like crazy, it was hilarious ;D  I had the video camera going too, just so I can embarass him in front of future girlfriends LOL :)
