How long is your flight to Hawaii? We travelled with our dd when she was eating homemade baby food too - it was about a 7 hr trip altogether - with layovers. We froze containers of our own baby food, packed them in an insulated cooler and packed it in our checked luggage (it's cold up in the air in the baggage compartment). Then the unthinkable happened, they lost our luggage. We didn't get it back til the next morning, and when we opened up the insulated cooler - would you believe that the food was still frozen?! Not solid, but in the slushy state - we put it in our hotel fridge and carried on as we would at home.
If that's not an option, I would definitely get her started on the jarred food at home first - maybe by mixing it with the homemade stuff first. It really does taste different than the homemade, and it might take her a little while to adjust.
