Grrr, at a loss with madam now.

Katelyn had her nap 1-2.20 today and didn't fall asleep till 8.40, she just kept crying! Not sure what she needs nap wise at the moment.

Any ideas ladies? x x x

Is that what she is napping naturally or are you waking her?  And what time did she wake in the morning yesterday?  Its hard to say UT/OT or what to do without knowing full picture.  Crying at BT can be both!  How does she seem in herself (behaviour-wise)?  Does she seem tired or not?

Well her current routine is -

07.00 - Wake Up

1.00 -2.20 - Nap

8pm - Bedtime, cries till she falls asleep gone 8.30

We wake her up at nap time as any longer and she will have a later nights sleep or will wake up U/T at 3am / 4am

She is quite happy in herself at present x x x

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas  :)

Katelyn's routine has been -

7am - wake her up
1.30 - nap
2.30 - wake her up
8pm - bedtime

She's nearly 28 months. All was working well until about a week ago. We are getting night wakings at 10pm and 2am. She's not crying
just rolling around her cot for about an hour at a time.

Not sure how to tweak her routine to get her back on track, any ideas? xxx

Hey :) just wondering if you have considered pushing the nap later in the day but keeping the length. I found this works well when Z is getting UT, making a much longer A before the nap meant he was actually more tired come BT even with the shorter A. You could try 2pm, or 2.30. Same BT ???

What does she do at them?
If she's been on that routine for a while with no trouble then they are prob developmental or teething rather then UT/OT.
Oh that said I just saw your prev routine. So you have pushed nap later, and capped? - was there a reason for the change to 1 hr again?

She was crying herself to sleep and not nodding off till 8.30 which then made her over tired and was stirring earlier in the morning. Pushed the nap forward and capped it to 1 hour worked really well.

When she wakes on a night now she's just rolling around her bed like a loon x x x

Hugs, maybe keep the nap at that later time but allow a bit longer than 1 hr, it could be making her OT
The crying at BT we have just had to land I think it's developmental, they start to get fears etc. as long as you go in if she needs you then there probably it's lot you can do unless she can tell you what wrong?
